Saratoga Springs is a lovely town in Upstate New York. Located an hour and a half north of the capital city, Albany, this city is small, yet vibrant, filled with history, culture, and plenty of fun things to do. Saratoga Performing Arts Center

SPAC is a great place to attend a concert whether you are just visiting, or looking for a house or apartments in Saratoga Springs NY. It is a 25,0000-seat amphitheater that hosts concerts by jazz, classical, rock, and every style of music you can think of. SPAC also plays host to the Freihofer Jazz Festival each June.

Saratoga Racetrack

If you enjoy the “Sport of Kings”, Saratoga Racetrack is a must-see. The first thoroughbred race held there was in August of 1863. It still hosts horse racing throughout the summer and fall and is especially popular for the races held at the end of August, through Labor, and into September. Saratoga Springs is also the home of the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame. 

Saratoga Automobile Museum

For people into cars, a trip to the Saratoga Automobile Museum is pure joy. The museum has displays of beautifully restored antique cars as well as modern supercars. There are also car shows held regularly throughout the warmer months. 

Broadway

It’s not the Great White Way and lacks the neon but Broadway in Saratoga Springs is a vibrant, main street with stores, shops, and boutiques filled with the latest fashions, jewelry, and accessories. There are also vintage clothing shops and many excellent restaurants and bars. 

Saratoga Lake

Summer is the time for watersports and Saratoga Lake is a gorgeous body of water located just outside of town. Enjoy swimming, boating, fishing, or a lakeside picnic. It’s also a great place to watch a sunset or stargaze.

The Saratoga Winery

Lovers of fine wine and cuisine should definitely visit the Saratoga Winery. New York State has been producing some excellent wines and you can try them here at a tasting. Additionally, you can get a peek at the winemaking process and enjoy incredible meals at the restaurant.

Saratoga Springs is a gem of a city in the Adirondack region of Upstate New York. Easily accessible from the City of New York on the Thruway, it’s a place you should visit.
